About the Course

For students who have completed Intermediate Pottery. By the end of this 10-week course, students will have a basic understanding of the Japanese techniques of Nerikomi and Neriage. Nerikomi is a hand-built pottery technique which involves stacking and cutting coloured pieces of clay to form different patterns. Neriage is a wheel-thrown marbling technique. This class will be a mixture between the two techniques. Students will learn through tutor demonstrations, personal guidance and hands-on practice.
