Clay Sculpture 1

For students with an interest in sculpture. No previous experience is necessary. At the end of this course, students will be able to display basic confidence in using natural clay to sculpt a bust of a person they know, hollow out their sculpture and then prepare the sculpture for off-site firing. Students will learn specific techniques for ears, noses, mouths, etc, and they will study overall proportions. Cost of materials and tools are included in the fee. Students will take home their creations at the end of the course. There will be an extra fee for offsite firing of sculptures.
