Introduction to Gardening

By the end of this course, students will be able to display a basic confidence in outdoor gardening. Over the 8-week course, students will look at some basic elements of garden planting and maintenance, including lawns, beds and borders, weeding and pruning. Students will learn some plant identification, soil management and how gardening can improve the environment and students' wellbeing. The sessions will incorporate practical lessons outdoors, weather permitting. Cost of materials is included in the course.
