How to Publish: Pitching Your Book

At the end of the workshop, students will have an overview of the requirements of submissions of fictional works to agents and publishers and will have an in-depth understanding of the requirements of and how to draft cover letters (including an elevator pitch) and synopses with a view to becoming traditionally published. Students need not have a completed work of fiction but should have a brief idea for a story and an interest in ultimately having their work published. An understanding of the publishing industry is not a pre-requisite. Please note this course is not eligible for any concessionary rates.
