About the Course

Tai Chi was originally developed as a martial art with an overarching emphasis on health and wellbeing. Qigong is an ancient Chinese holistic self-care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused thought. Tai Chi and Qigong promote relaxation, flexibility, coordination, strength, and dynamic balance, allowing practitioners to remain fit and energised throughout their lives. The six sessions over three weeks will cover an introduction to a Foundation Qigong Practice, Silk Reeling Exercises, Four Strengths, and 8-Step Tai Chi Form. At the end of this three-week course, students will be able to display a basic understanding of Tai Chi and Qigong.
