Garment Refashioning

For students with no sewing experience. In this 8-week course, students will learn basic sewing machine skills and complete a few refashioning projects. Students will be encouraged to use their creativity to refashion and/or tailor old garments into something they will be excited to wear and that expresses their personality. By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of basic sewing skills and simple tailoring/refashioning of existing garments. Students should bring in a piece of 100% cotton fabric to the first session to practice different types of stitching. This is not a traditional sewing class but a fun, creative class where students' unique self-expression through fashion will be encouraged and supported. Sewing machines will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own. Please note this class will not run on the 13 June or 20 June.
