About the Course
Criminology is the study of the concept of crime itself, why people commit crimes and how criminal behaviour should be handled. This course is designed to make students aware of the main theories, models and approaches used within the study of criminology. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognise and discuss the main schools of thought in regard to why people engage in deviant behaviour; interpret and analyse key terminology used in the criminal justice system and academic study of criminology.
