About the Course
In this short and fun introductory workshop, students will read, discuss, and write historical fiction. Author Daniel Kohlmann says that writing historical fiction is "like doing a Ph.D. and writing a novel simultaneously." Readers love the immersive experience of reading a novel set in another era, but the eagle-eyed amonst them may spot the smallest error. The process is a delicate balance of what to include, what to edit out, and where the truth can be stretched. Please note this course is not eligible for any concessionary rates.
