About the Course
This course is for beginners with little-to-no previous furniture making experience. By the end of this 10-week course, students will create and finish a pine coffee table. Students will learn about the tools and materials needed to make a coffee table. They will learn the steps to make a basic coffee table including how to cut the timber to size, form joints, mortise table legs, prepare rails, fit joints, assemble the parts, sand the components and apply the finish coating. Students will take home their completed coffee tables at the end of the course. The cost of materials is included in the course. Stout footwear is required (steel-toe capped boots or other sturdy work boots).
